Professional footwear doesn’t become comfortable by chance.

Behind every SKYPRO shoe is a rigorous engineering process. We select materials that deliver measurable performance for professionals who spend long hours on their feet.

Our approach to innovation has a clear goal: every component should improve comfort, durability and long-term performance.

The introduction of OrthoLite® Float technology reflects this commitment. It helps us continue raising the standard of professional footwear.

Engineering comfort through material science

Comfort depends on several material properties working together. No single characteristic determines how comfortable an insole will feel or perform over time.

When evaluating OrthoLite® Float, SKYPRO considered key engineering parameters. These included density, hardness, resilience, thickness and compression set.

Together, these properties influence how the insole absorbs impact and recovers after compression. They also help maintain consistent comfort during extended working shifts.

Material Specifications

These carefully balanced properties enable a lightweight construction while helping preserve cushioning, stability and long-term comfort throughout the lifetime of the footwear.

From technical specifications to independent validation

Selecting a material based on its technical characteristics is only the first step.

Before becoming part of a SKYPRO shoe, OrthoLite® Float underwent independent laboratory testing conducted by CTCP – Centro Tecnológico do Calçado de Portugal to validate its performance under recognised testing methods.

The evaluation assessed characteristics such as resilience, compression behaviour and long-term material performance, providing objective evidence that the material maintains its performance under repeated loading conditions.

Engineering confidence into every step

A healthcare professional, cabin crew member or hospitality employee can take thousands of steps during a single shift.

Every step places the insole under repeated compression.

By combining carefully engineered material properties with independent laboratory validation, SKYPRO ensures that comfort is designed to last, not only on the first day of use, but throughout the footwear’s service life.

The introduction of OrthoLite® Float is another example of our commitment to engineering footwear that professionals can trust, every step of the way.
